Al-Ain Hospital reopens the biggest and oldest museum of gynecological and obstetrics specimens after the 90th anniversary of the new Najib Pasha Mahfouz Obstetrics and Gynecology Museum on Tuesday (March 20th).
Dr. Amr Hassan, Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Al-Ain Palace, said that the museum is located within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Al-Ain College. It is the oldest and largest collection of gynecological and obstetric diseases in the Middle East and Africa. Rare and mysterious cases.
Hassan added that the reopening of the museum coincides with the start of the annual conference of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, where the Department will grant an annual medal in the name of Dr. Naguib Pasha Mahfouz to a medical expert, noting that the renovation was funded by the family of the late Naguib Pasha Mahfouz, Mohamed Mumtaz, Head of the Department of Gynecology, supervised by Dr. Ahmed Al-Manawi.
It is noteworthy that the museum started by Dr. Naguib Pasha Mahfouz, the gynecologist and founder of the first dedicated service in obstetrics and gynecology in Egypt.
